Before the Newport Music Hall, there was the Agora Ballroom. The Agora welcomed such acts as Bruce Springsteen, George Thorogood, Kiss, and the Ramones from 1970-1983. Officially closing its doors in September 1983, there's no question countless memories were made during its 13-year stint at 1722 N. High Street.
