If you've visited Ohio State University lately, and driven down the High Street strip, you likely were taken aback by all of the construction. In a move to 'clean up' High Street, old buildings and with them, familiar watering holes are disappearing at a fast pace. Where Bernie's Bagels & Deli served for 40 years, now sits a Target.
(Target located in the ground floor of the new Wellington building.)
The latest closure and demolition has struck current OSU students pretty hard: the demolition of O'Patio and Pub (previously Flying Tomato and Four Kegs). With the demolition, the building that housed Too's Spirits Under High (previously Not Al's Too) also came down this week. It's rumored that the spot will become a green/public space and possibly a parking lot.

The Shop Local OSU project has always been about preserving OSU memories and capturing college nostalgia. We've been lucky to work with the owner of Too's Spirits Under High since the early days of the project, along with the owners of Bernie's Bagels and Deli. Too, we recently linked up with the owner of O'Patio and Pub to release some commemorative items. You have our word that as campus keeps changing, we will do our best to get with owners to offer up quality and lasting keepsakes. We've been chugging along since 2015, and honestly, we're just getting started. Cheers Buckeyes!
